MISSION & VISION
Our Mission
To clean up Nevada public wilderness (BLM) land of waste material that has been illegally dumped. There are a growing number of these illegal dump sites that need removing to reduce impact on the environment. Through collaboration with government agencies, local communities, and expert professionals, we aim to not only clean these sites but also educate the public on the importance of keeping these fragile and valuable ecosystems free of adverse human impact.
Our Vision
CLEAN UP:
DEBRIS FROM TARGET PRACTICE
Many gun enthusiasts use BLM land for target practice in designated “dispersed shooting areas," but these areas are being abused with piles of “trigger trash” consisting of old household appliances, furniture, TV’s, cans of spray paint, glass bottles, propane tanks, fire extinguishers—essentially things that would better off brought to a city dump. Wild Nevada Waste Removal targets these littered areas to remove trigger trash and clean up roads and trails along the way. We are committed to keeping Nevada's public lands clean for camping, hiking, shooting and riding off-road vehicles.
EDUCATE:
TAKE OUT WHAT YOU BRING IN
Since recreational shooting is a well-established, accepted practice on public lands, we focus on sharing information about safe and responsible use of BLM lands. By reaching out to gun shops and gun clubs as well as speaking with individual gun owners and the general public, we aim to raise awareness around appropriate land use, including: cleaning up after yourself when shooting, informing others about the importance of land access and responsible recreational shooting, and encouraging young gun owners to be respectful when shooting on public lands.
KEEP OPEN:
ACCESS TO PUBLIC LANDS
Trash left behind by recreational shooters scars our fragile desert landscape. Shooting debris embedded in roads and trails can harm ATVs as they off-road through these areas. To protect public health and safety, some states have banned target shooting altogether in wilderness areas. Don't let that happen in Nevada. We want to keep Nevada's beautiful, off-road BLM areas open and safe for everyone to enjoy.
